Product Therapy in 2025
What I have planned for 2025

This space is dedicated to all things Product, but every now and then, I like to share a behind-the-scenes look at the flywheel that powers my business. It turns out, readers enjoy these glimpses too—some of my most popular posts have been on this topic. (A Peek Into My Business Stack, Confessions of a Soloprenuer)
In the spirit of transparency, I want to share lessons learned and the changes you can expect from me in 2025.
I believe deeply in the value of sharing work in progress.
It’s a huge product principle I coach on.
Iteration is key and if you wait for a polished product, you’ll quickly lose internal buy-in and end-users.1
At its core, my writing isn’t just for fun (though I do love it); it’s a way to show you what I do and the kind of impact I strive to create.
My hope is that at a minimum you find inspiration here.
And as always, if any of this resonates and you’re curious about working together in 2025, I’d love for you to reach out too.
Now, let’s get to it.
Product Coaching
I spent the year coaching product teams, groups, individuals and students.
Here’s what I found out about my coaching sweet spots:
Individual Impact
I’m most helpful with clients who are seeking on-the-job support. Whether they’re actively onboarding, recently promoted or struggling in their day-to-day, my support goes the distance when I can help PMs ground into a balanced product practice. While I’ve spent a great deal of time coaching PMs through the grueling product interview process, I find it can get repetitive.2 Plus, there are so many great programs out there who have mastered this support.
I’ve also found that the clients that get the most out of my services have at least 8 years of product experience. While I can coach junior folks, this isn’t where I bring the most value. For that reason, I’ll be referring junior PMs out to incredible coaches and programs designed for them. I know many.

Team impact
While my one-on-one work is deeply fulfilling, I’ve realized I’m often limited in my ability to create broader change—even when working with senior leaders. That’s why I’m taking on more product team based work in 2025. That means coaching teams of PMs and product development teams (product+eng+design).
I’ve found I’m most helpful for product teams that want to move from reactive to proactive, customer-centric work. I’m also helpful for teams that need scalable systems but lack the time or expertise to implement them. I bring years of experience at product-led organizations, so teams often bring me on as someone who’s lived within a healthy product organization.3

Advising teams at customer-obsessed companies.
I will continue advising companies that genuinely excite me—often teams focused on solving real customer problems rather than enabling technologies like AI4. Often these companies lean on me for my SME in marketplace, creator economy, music and streaming and general consumer tech.

Events
Product Leadership Breakfast NYC
In 2024, I hosted many gatherings for product leaders. The Product Leader Breakfast Series was born out of a desire to get people away from their screens and connected IRL. We succeeded in IRL connections, but curating the right groups of people without a central theme proved to be a challenge.
In 2025, we’re bringing themes back.
We’ll host a handful of more curated events for product leaders, centered around specific topics to spark deeper discussions. Here’s what we have on deck for Q1 2025:
Friday, January 24th - One last non-theme breakfast in Miami
Monday, January 27th - ”Your First Big Win: How to Hit the Ground Running At Your New Product Job” in Brooklyn
Monday, February 24th - “From Promoted to Proven: Charting Your First Big Win” in Manhattan
Monday, March 24th - "A Founder’s Roadmap to Building Their First Product Team" in Manhattan
➡️ Have a topic in mind? Reach out—we’d love to collaborate or host at your office!
Product Power Hour
Last year, I hosted two Product Power Hour sessions, informal, drop-in coaching sessions for PMs to unpack challenges and exchange ideas with others.
I’m thrilled to bring them back in 2025, with the first one on January 15th.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the questions we tackled last year:
I love the team I work with but I feel unfulfilled by the mission. Should I stick around and wait for the organization to mature or seek something more aligned with my goals?
How can I tell if an organization is truly product-led before joining?
How do I navigate restricted access to data or customers as a PM?
If you’re wrestling with questions like these, this is the space to bring them.
➡️ Register for Product Power Hour Wednesday, January 15th 12pm EST / 9am PST.
Product Therapy +
I’ve got a few writing collaborations lined up here, but I’m eager to do more!
A lot of my writing is inspired by the insights I gain from coaching clients and the Product Leader Breakfasts series, but I’d love to hear from you too. If there are topics that are important to you, let me know!
➡️ Drop me a message on Substack of feel free to reach out here.
Maybe this sounds like a lot, but its all in the spirit of focus. If you knew all the other things I’ve considered doing, you’d realize this is quite a short list.
Here’s to more good stuff in 2025 🥂
Happy New Year!
As I’m writing this out I’m already dreaming about a post about just this!
The best career support clients are those who are really willing to take the time to go deeper and connect with their purpose rather than simply get a new job. Those folks I do love to work with.
Which after meeting hundreds of PMs this year, I’m realizing it’s hard to come by!
I have an aversion to companies that describe themselves as AI. What is the customer/business problem you’re solving?! That should be your elevator pitch! AI can help you solve that problem.
